So what happened in April & May?

May 26 2011 Published by Tyron Bache under Blogging, Business, Web Development

To answer the question in the title very briefly… lots.

I know a post like this can be quite clichéd and I have even tweeted about it while writing it.

I have been a busy boy blogging, creating videos, developing websites and being awesome.

I have started blogging for the company I work for, The BlueBox. I usually blog about web development on The BlueBox platform. You can check it out here – http://blueboxwebdev.tumblr.com/ – if you are interested in that sort of thing.

Unfortunately I haven’t done much reading although I am slowly working my way through, The 4-Hour Body by Tim Ferriss. I was sold when I saw the trailer for this book.

Direct link.

I also took a much needed family vacation at the end of April down the lovely south coast of KZN, South Africa, that was a real treat and I even went to the Waffle House.

During the past two months, I have launched 2 more websites for my business Smashing Web Development. I completed the Wesley Methodist Church and the AHvR websites, and I am very proud of them both.

I have done some awesome work with Julie Patrick and I am really looking forward to getting stuck into the new ARISEFEST website for this year. By the way Julie is amazing at taking photo’s. Below is the new design/poster for this years festival.

That’s it for now, hopefully it won’t be another two months until my next post.

So where have I been?

Aug 03 2010 Published by Tyron Bache under Blogging

Busy is one way of saying it, although I think I just became bored of my blog. Bored of the way it looked and I think I lost the vision that I had for it and I wasn’t really blogging what I set out to blog about but that has come to pass. Let me tell you what I have done to try and light that blogging fire of mine once again.

I changed my hosting from Hetzner to Serve in order to save a few bucks. I changed my blog theme to Voidy, I was playing with the idea of creating my own but stumbled across Voidy one evening and I was sold, not literally as it was free but you know what I mean. I think sometimes in order to fill up your inspiration bucket you need something new. I imported all of my old posts so I now feel like I have something new/old, a new look but still with a a similar taste, clean, white and content focused layout.

I can’t wait to get back into my blogging and I am hoping to do more regular posts. I have got a whole bunch of really awesome content to blog about so keep your eyes peeled (love that idiom) and some new projects that I am working on to show you guys. Thanks for reading.

Don't Read This

So I’m quite proud, after a little bit of convincing my girlfriend has created a blog, Don’t Read This.

I am looking forward to where this goes, she already has four posts up, which is pretty impressive! A little bit about her in her own words, “I love watching people around me, that’s where I gain my inspiration – it’s my favourite. Also, boots & nail polish!” This one is definitely for all the girls out there. She has also taken to twitter and you can follow her @MeganWridgway.
