I watched Troy the other night with the girlfriend. What a top movie, I forgot how cool it was and I just thought I would share some of the awesome quotes from it with you. The film is based on the Iliad. If you haven’t seen this film then I strongly urge you to rent it and watch it this weekend! Brad Pitt plays the role of Achilles and absolutely nails it! I found all of these quotes on IMDB. Along with really intense fight scenes, it has the coolest opening lines and scenes in a film in my humble opinion. The first quote I have is the opening line, which is all about legacy. Will you be remembered long after you are gone?

I am a starter
I was inspired by the short but awesome chapter entitled, “Be a starter”, from the brilliant 37 Signals book Rework.
I am a 23 year old web developer, blogger, I do what I love and I own property. I believe that I am a part of a new generation of young people who believe in themselves. It’s 2011 I can do anything I want, I can become who I choose to be.
To steal a line from an awesome poem:
“I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.”
And you know what you can be to! You don’t need to go to varsity (I didn’t), you don’t need a MBA (waste of time unless you like following the herd) or lots of money (but that helps, I have enough to get by).
